Terry Francis Cool Sr., 62, of 1113 Woodland Parkway in Waynesboro, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at his home after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born Sunday, Jan. 23, 1949, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Bernard Francis Cool and the late Elva June Kennedy Cool.
He attended North Hagerstown High School until 1963, and attended Massanutten Military Academy from 1964 to 1965. He went on to attend the Baltimore School of Barbering.
He was employed by South End Barber Shop from 1966 to 1969, and had been employed at the Razor’s Edge from 1970 to the present.
Terry was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in State Line, Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rhonda Lee Cool; a daughter, Melissa C. Reed of Greencastle, Pa.; son, Terry F. Cool Jr. of Waynesboro and his girlfriend, Shaney Cook, of Mont Alto, Pa.; stepdaughter, Danielle L. Reed and fiancé, Jeff Schneider, of Greencastle, Pa.; stepson, James L. Footen II of Reisterstown, Md.; sister, Gloria J. Cramer and husband, Daniel, of Olympia, Wash.; brother, Randy J. Cool of Hagerstown, Md.; grandchildren, Gavin C. Reed, Aiden M. Reed and Tristan S. Cool; stepgrandchildren, Jason A. Reed Jr. and Brittany L. Reed; one niece; and nephews.
Services will be Monday, July 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, 29 East Ave., State Line, with the Rev. Edwin Higginbottom officiating. Interment will be in Brown’s Mill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 10, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.
