One hurt in Boonsboro accident

  • One person was injured in a wreck in Boonsboro Thursday afternoon.

One person was injured in a wreck on South Main Street in Boonsboro around 12:25 p.m. Thursday, Officer Shawn Faith of the Boonsboro Police Department said.

The accident happened when a pick-up truck collided with the back of a car just south of Potomac and Saint Paul streets.

The driver of the car was taken to Meritus Medical Center in an ambulance from Boonsboro Emergency Medical Services.

The southbound lane of South Main Street was briefly closed due to the wreck, but it reopened around 12:45.

The scene was cleared around 12:50.

In addition to the ambulance and the Boonsboro Police Department, the Boonsboro State Police and a fire truck from the Boonsboro Fire Department were all on the scene.
