Two face charges in Frederick drug bust

FREDERICK, Md. — Police said about $10,000 worth of crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana was found when authorities searched two locations in Frederick Tuesday night.

Jason Allen Diggs, 30, of 195 Hope Circle. and Donald Wayne Brown, 33, of 127 Pennsylvania Ave., were charged, according to the Frederick Police Department.

Diggs and Brown were charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine, police said.

Diggs was also charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and two counts of possession of paraphernalia, police said.

Brown was also charged with possession of a handgun in commission of a drug trafficking crime, police said.

Police searched 127 Pennsylvania Ave. and 195 Hope Circle simultaneously at 10:01 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

During the searches, police found about 14 grams of marijuana, 35 grams of powdered cocaine, 65 grams of crack cocaine and $1,500 in cash, police said.

Also, a handgun was found at 127 Pennsylvania Ave., police said.

The searches were a result of an ongoing month-long investigation into drug trafficking in the area, police said.
