Pa. Lions to host annual car show

ROUZERVILLE, Pa. — The Rouzerville Lions Club will host its annual car and truck show on Sunday at Hooverville Elementary School on Pa. 16.

Rain date for the show is Sunday, July 17.

The show is open to all makes, models and years of cars and trucks, and features trophies to the top 35 cars and trophies to the top 12 trucks.

The “best of show” winner will receive a trophy and embroidered jacket.

All trophies will be determined by drivers’ choice voting. Dash Plaques will be given to the first 100 entries and are courtesy of C-Ely Signs and Graphics.

There will be door prizes courtesy of Lion Kathie of Harvest Moon Studio and Waynesboro NAPA. This year’s show will feature some commemorative T-shirts with the door prizes.

Cost to enter the show is $12 and registration will be held from 9 a.m. until noon. Participant voting closes at 1 p.m., and trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m.

Music will be provided by Mike Embly of Coast-2-Coast Productions.

The 2011 show is being sponsored by Terry Barkdoll’s Antiques, Allen B. Scott Hauling, Linda Barkdoll of Ronnie Martin Realty, McCleaf Bus Lines, Mountain Gate Family Restaurant and Lion Don Seilhamer.

Spectators are welcome, and there is no admission charge.

There will be hot food, drinks and ice cream available.

All proceeds earned at the show will be used to support local, state and international Lions Club charity programs.
