'Highlight Hagerstown' seeks curb appeal nominations

July 06, 2011

The Hagerstown Beautification Advisory Committee (HBAC) needs your help to "Highlight Hagerstown."

For the fifth year in a row, the committee is looking to recognize Hagerstown residents and business owners who are boosting curb appeal in the City of Hagerstown through the "Highlight Hagerstown Awards."

The committee is looking for projects that include, but are not limited to: landscaping and trees, window boxes, walkway improvements, fencing, facade improvements, flower beds and gardens and sidewalk plantings.

Residents and business owners are eligible to be nominated and self-nominations are also accepted. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, July 29.

Nomination forms can be picked up at City Hall and be found online at the City of Hagerstown's website (www.hagerstownmd.org).

Winners will be announced and recognized at the mayor and city council regular session meeting in August.

For more information, call the Hagerstown Planning Office at 301-739-8577, ext. 137.
