City museums offer free admission to service members and families

Two Hagerstown museums have been selected to be Blue Star Museums.

The two museums are Discovery Station, a family-friendly, hands-on science museum at 101 W. Washington St. in downtown Hagerstown, and Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in City Park.

Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 1,300 museums across America is offering free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2011. Only 39 museums in Maryland are Blue Star Museums.
