Lucinda Kyllene Russ, 60, of Burnt House Road, Carlisle, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born Feb. 22, 1951, in Hagerstown, Md., the daughter of the late David and Frances E. Moore Hoover.

She was retired from IBM, after 30 years of service in human relations.

She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, an avid reader, loved music, camping, spending time with her grandchildren and studying genealogy.

She was survived by her partner, William Gillenwater; her son, Michael A. and wife, Sherri McConnell, of Shermansdale, Pa.; granddaughter, Tessa; three stepchildren, James Gillenwater of Washington State, Lindsey Bishop and husband, Bryan, of Landisburg, Pa., and Lisa Gillenwater of Alexandria, Va.; stepgrandchildren, Jesse James, and Bryce and Braxton Bishop; her brother, James Hoover of Cumberland, Md.; and four sisters, Davonna Hoover and Michelle Hoover, both of Baltimore, Md., Hannah Reynolds of Gaithersburg, Md., and Lauren Kauffman of Mont Alto, Pa.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Marsh Drive, Carlisle, with the Rev. Dwight Schlaline officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Holly Springs Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mount Holly Springs, Pa. Prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Following the graveside service, a fellowship will be held at Cassell's Grille, 5 W. Pine St., Mount Holly Springs.
