Movie night set for Saturday

On Saturday, Bridge of Life Church, 14 S. Potomac St., will offer the choice of two movies at 7 p.m.  

The main showing will be "Adjustment Bureau" starring Matt Damon and Emily Blount.  

A special feature for children, "Happiness is ... Snoopy's" will be shown at the same time.

The movies are free. Free popcorn and drinks will be available. The main movie will be shown on the large projection screen with high-quality sound.

Informal worship service

John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St., will hold an informal service Saturday at 5 p.m.   

Come as you are for a time of worship, praise and fellowship.

Bus trip donations sought

Time is winding down, but it's not too late to help make the annual For Our Kids' Sake bus trip a success.

You can sponsor a child, family or make a donation by stopping by any Hagerstown Trust branch (account No. 141518) or by calling 301-739-2557.

Don't delay much longer as the trip will be held in another week.

Art reception

Act 2 of "Women's Wisdom, A Visual Symphony in Three Acts" will be held Saturday and Sunday at Just Lookin' Gallery, 40 Summit Ave.

Pat Kabore will demonstrate printmaking both days at 4:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Robin Holder will give an artist talk at 3 p.m.

Refreshments will be available and a door prize will be given away.

Reunion weekend

A fun-filled weekend has been planned for family and friends to come back and remember and share memories, stories and just have fun seeing old friends.

Today, stop by Memorial Recreation Center (children younger than 12 require parental supervision) from  6 to 8 p.m. for a splash party. For adults, there will be a social gathering at Georgia Boy's, starting at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, the day will be filled with activities at Wheaton Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Starting at 1 p.m., there will be music by Supa Dupa Disko.

Then local bands Out of the Blue and Pham Life will play at 4 p.m. until you put your dancing shoes on for a night at the Elks lodge for a disco at 9 p.m.

On Sunday, it's back to Wheaton Park for a social gathering starting at 3 p.m. featuring Kelly Wright and an open mic for "Remember when."

Donations, as well as school supplies for local children, will be accepted.
