Janeva Florence Tisinger, 86, of Hagerstown, Md., died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her home, surrounded by family.

Mrs. Tisinger was born Oct. 17, 1924, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., the daughter of the late John and Bertha Bennett Bohrer.

She was a 1942 graduate of Handley High School in Winchester, Va.

She was site manager for 25 years at Washington County Commission on Aging.

Mrs. Tisinger was a member of the Lutheran faith.

Mrs. Tisinger was married June 26, 1948, to James Clayton Tisinger, who preceded her in death April 25, 1976.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Blevins of Hagerstown and Janeva Cool of Smithsburg, Md.; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Cool, Allyson Cool, Megan Cool and James Blevins.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mount Jackson Cemetery, Mount Jackson, Va., with the Rev. Matthew A. Diehl officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ron Cool, Freddie Stoner, James Blevins, Kenna Fansler and Larry Lipsitz.
