June 21, 2011

Dave Reeder, a longtime Washington County Public Schools administrator, will be the next superintendent for the Camp Hill School District southwest of Harrisburg, Pa., according to the school system's website and Reeder.

Reeder, of Greencastle, Pa., is director of secondary education for Washington County Public Schools. His last day in that position is Thursday; he starts his new job Monday, Reeder said.

Whether the local director's position will be filled will be left up to Washington County's new superintendent, Clayton Wilcox, Interim Superintendent Stan Schaub said after Tuesday's school board meeting. Reeder's salary this fiscal year was $118,558.

The same is true for the positions of director of system development and executive assistant for strategic planning, board and community relations, Schaub said.

Shula Finkelstein, who earned $118,775, is retiring as executive assistant.

Development Director Dale Bannon is resigning, school system spokesman Richard Wright said. Bannon's salary this fiscal year was $94,991.
