GREENCASTLE, Pa. — A Greencastle cabinet shop was damaged by fire late Thursday night.

Crews arrived to smoke coming from Horst Custom Cabinets, 7506 Friendship Village Road, Greencastle, according to a media release prepared by JR Koons, Deputy Fire Chief, Rescue Hose Company of Greencastle.

The call came in Thursday at 11:23 p.m.

"The fire was knocked down quickly," Koons wrote in the release.

The ceilings and walls inside the buildings were torn down to make sure hot spots were not trapped between the walls and the insulation and the outside walls.

Calls to Horst Custom Cabinets were not answered on Friday.

There were no injuries reported.

Crews returned to their stations by 2:30 a.m. Friday.

The fire does not appear suspicious, but the PA State Police Fire Marshal will investigate, according to Koons.

The Rescue Hose Company was assisted at the scene by Marion, New Franklin, Franklin fire departments and Chambersburg Tanker 14 and Air 10.
