Valley Art Association will hold an art show titled “Seasons: Painting after Fifty” during the month of July at the Mansion House Art Gallery, 501 Highland Drive in Hagerstown.
The show will be on view Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
The show will be a collection of landscape and portrait, acrylic and oil paintings, painted over the last four years and begun after the artist turned 52 years old.

Community yard sale
New Hope Ministries will host a community yard sale Saturday beginning at 7:30 a.m. at 1015 W. Washington St.
 Items available for purchase are as follows: household products, men’s and women’s clothing, children’s clothing and television sets (in good condition).

Roast beef dinner to be held June 24
Grace United Methodist Church will hold a roast beef dinner and silent auction Friday, June 24, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The church is at 712 W. Church St. in Hagers-town.
The menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw, roll and butter, coffee or tea, and  lemonade. Dessert will be available. Hot dogs instead of roast beef will be available for children, if desired.
Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for those ages 6 to 12. Those 5 and younger will be admitted free.
Proceeds will benefit the church budget.

Food bank to hold food ‘drop’ June 20
A mobile food pantry, sponsored by Maryland Food Bank, will be held Monday, June 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 108 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown.
This is a one-time, two-hour food “drop” for neighborhood residents to receive at least 45 pounds (four bags) of food per household (maximum six bags for larger families).

Summer meals planned at schools
Washington County Hunger Group would like to remind the community that free summer meals are available for children and teens at Bester and Winter Street Elementary Schools.   
Both Bester and Winter Street are open Monday through Thursday for breakfast and lunch.  
Bester will serve breakfast at 9:15 a.m. and lunch at 12:15 p.m.
Winter Street will serve breakfast at 8:45 a.m. and lunch at 12:15 p.m.
