Legal rights workshops for West Virginians set for June 21

June 16, 2011

A series of free workshops will provide information to Eastern Panhandle residents about legal rights for them and for their families.

The workshops will provide an overview about the ranges of options and questions raised in these legal dilemmas. While the workshops will not address specific legal problems or provide advice, they will provide attendees with an overview that might help them plan for their families' futures.

The first seminar will discuss immigration issues and will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Newberry Executive Center, 142 N. Queen St., Martinsburg, W.Va. Workshops will be the third Tuesday of the month. Future topics include: family law and child custody, credit laws, buying and selling a home and estate planning.

The seminars are free; advance registration is recommended. Free refreshments and written materials will be available.

To register, contact the Newberry Center at 304-596-6644 or NewberryCenter@gmail.com.
