Eric Wayne “Ty” Zombro, 55, of 16794 Sterling Road, Williamsport, Md., passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md.

Born Monday, Oct. 3, 1955, in Hagerstown, he was the son of David Lee “Sam” Zombro of Zephyrhills, Fla., and the late Rosemarie Zombro.

He attended North Hagerstown High School and was employed with UPS for many years. He also was the owner of Quality Lawn Service.

Ty was a life member of The Improved Order of Red Men Tribe 84, where he belonged to the Riders Club. He also was a member of Teamsters Local 992.

Ty was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, and someone who will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Melody A. “Mel” Zombro; one son, Brandon T. Zombro of Hagerstown; a granddaughter, Kynzee Sullivan of Williamsport; sister, Karen M. Corun of Belcamp, Md.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday, June 17, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd., North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Richard Daughtridge officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Interment will be held privately with the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
