Did you know?

There once was an apple orchard at Stafford Hall Farm on Cohill Road? Not just an apple orchard, it was one of the largest apple orchards in the surrounding states. It produced more than 50,000 bushels of apples a year. The orchard employed hundreds. Stafford Hall Apples were shipped all over the United States and even to England and France. One thing that a lot of people remember is that in the 1930s lightening struck the packinghouse and killed two workers.
