Colonial Park, a neighborhood east of Dual Highway between Mount Aetna Road and Eastern Boulevard, is undergoing a patch and overlay project, according to Darin Jenkins of Craig Paving Inc.

The project has reduced traffic on Cornell Drive, a street in the neighborhood just off Dual Highway, to only one lane. Jenkins, who is the superintendent of the project, said different roads in the neighborhood will be only one lane for the next two weeks.

Jenkins said the roads are being tied back into the driveways. When the neighborhood was repaved, the driveways were not smoothly connected to the road, and Jenkins said that is being fixed.

Next week, the plan is to finish resurfacing the roads, which should complete the project, Jenkins said.

The project is a county project, and Jenkins said Craig Paving was contracted to work on it. According to a published report, Craig Paving began repaving work in late April.

Tim McCusker, the inspector of the project who works for Washington County, said that after Craig Paving finishes with the Colonial Park neighborhood, it will move to Mount Meadow Drive and Beaver Creek Road for the same type of project.
