Public hearing on proposed landfill fees set for Tuesday

As part of its regular meeting Tuesday, the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County will hold a public hearing at 10:50 a.m. to consider modification of the landfill user fees that become effective July 1.

Establishment of an optional $15 annual permit fee for unlimited disposal of residential yard debris has been proposed, in addition to the previously approved $130 and $95 residential municipal solid waste drop-off permit fees.

During the public hearing, residents will have the opportunity to be heard.
