Peggy Virginia Bullard, 76, a resident of Golden Living Center, Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Williamsport, Md., and Jonathan Street, Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

Born Nov. 1, 1934, in South Boston, Va., she was the daughter of the late John H. and Malinda Adams Crawley.

She was a 1955 graduate of North Street School.

She was employed by the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. and Bell Atlantic, until retiring with many years of service.

She was a member of Second Christian Church, Hagerstown, where she was the former church treasurer and sang in the choir.

For enjoyment in her earlier years, she enjoyed fishing in Norfolk, Va., and in Williamsport in the Potomac River, and bowling in the Sunday night Go-Getters league. She also bowled for many years on the C&P Co.'s duckpin league.

She was a member of Communications Workers of America Local 2105, where she served on a number of committees, and the CWA Local 2105 Retired Members Chapter.

Survivors include goddaughter, Resa Agfalvi of Hagerstown; cousin, Linda Bailey of South Boston; special friend, Agnes L. Jackson of Hagerstown; special friend, Duane Butler of Hagerstown; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held at Second Christian Church, 65 North Ave., Hagerstown, on Monday, June 13, 2011, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jacquelyn M. Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church, from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Second Christian Church Building Fund, 65 North Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
