Geraldine S. Robinson, 79, of Chambersburg, Pa., passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Shook Home.

Born March 26, 1932, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Merle E. and Mildred (Ehrhart) Statler.

She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ in St. Thomas, where she was also the pianist for 50 years.

She was the 1950 salutatorian of Greencastle-Antrim High School, then attended the former Shippensburg State Teachers College.

In her early life she worked at the South Mountain Sanitarium, and later was the Franklin County Teachers Credit Union bookkeeper. Above all, she was a homemaker.

In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed music, shopping, decorating, entertaining, and collecting and reading cookbooks.

Geraldine is survived by a son, Donald Robinson, husband of Cindy; a daughter, Kimberly Robinson, partner of Ronald Sanders; five grandchildren, Meredith Bowen, Christina Ferguson, wife of Brad, Andrew Bowen, husband of Jamie, and William and Rebekah (Beka) Sanders; three great-grandchildren, Ethan and Asher Ferguson, and Olivia Bowen; and a caregiver, Leslie Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dr. William A. Robinson; a daughter, Debra R. Bowen; and a granddaughter, Jennifer R. Robinson.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011, at the Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, with the Rev. Earl Mills officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
