June 01, 2011|Jamie Shekels | Around Halfway

It’s registration time for the Parents Day Out Program at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church.

Parents Day Out is a preschool/day care program at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 1020 Maryland Ave. The church is across from South End Shopping Center. It is held each Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. from September through May.

Those ages 1 to 5 are invited to attend. Children are separated by age into five groups. They  learn colors, numbers, shapes, alphabet, socialization and many other things that will ready them for kindergarten. There will also be playtime in the fenced-in yard with adult supervision.

While the children are having a day full of learning activities, parents can have one day a week to plan appointments, shop or just get things done. The cost per day is $20. For more information, call the church office at 301-739-7431 or 301-791-1773.
