Enrollment requirements at Washington County Technical High School

To be considered for enrollment at Washington County Technical High School, a student must:

  • Be a 10th-grader in Washington County Public Schools.
  • Fill out a written application answering these questions:
  1. Did you fill out a survey or questionnaire for the teacher?
  2. What made you decide to apply to Tech High in this area?
  3. How would you describe your school performance over the last two years?
  4. Do you intend to go to college?
  5. If accepted, how committed are you to attending WCTHS?
  6. How are your grades and your credits?  
  7. How many days have you missed this year?
  8. Have you had any disciplinary referrals?
  9. Are you involved in any sports or other activities?
  10. How would you describe yourself?
  11. Have you discussed this decision to apply to Tech High with your parents?
  • Have good grades (requirement varies by technical program area and the pool of applicants).
  • Have a good attendance record at their home school.
  • Have demonstrated good behavior at their home school.
  • Must be interviewed, first by the Tech High teachers during their return visit to two tech areas, then around February by the guidance counselor and Tech High’s Student Achievement Specialist at their home schools.
