Ronald E. Hardy, 45

Ronald Eugene Hardy, 45, of Hagerstown, Md., died on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born May 19, 1965, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles Leon Hardy and Diane Elizabeth Lushbaugh Roberts of Hagerstown.

He served in the U.S. Army.        

He was employed by the Williamsport Tannery.

He was a member of Halfway Volunteer Fire Co.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Kimberly A. Keefer of Boonsboro, Md., and Barbara C. Roberts of Hagerstown; one brother, Skylar Miller of Hagerstown; and stepfather, Harold L. Roberts of Hagerstown; a niece, Alyssa Baugher; a nephew, Blake Baugher; an aunt, Connie Davis; an uncle, Terry Davis Sr.; and a cousin, Billy Davis.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Stacy Lynn Hardy, on June 8, 2002.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Halfway Volunteer Fire Co. social hall, 17421 Lexington Ave., Hagerstown.

There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Diane Roberts, 673 Hayes Ave., Hagerstown MD 21740, to help defray funeral expenses.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
