Sharpsburg students fare well in 24 Game

Students from Sharpsburg Elementary School competed in the annual 24 Game Challenge on May 5 at Hagerstown Community College.

Sharpsburg fifth-graders Colton Bare, Rachael Cochran, Amber Funderburk and Claudia Tolley competed against students from 25 other elementary schools.

Colton was the fifth-grade champion. Claudia was a finalist and placed second. Rachael was a finalist and placed fourth. Amber also was in the finalist round, which consisted of 16 students.

Close to 150 students participated in the event, which was held at Hagerstown Community College's Athletic, Recreation and Community Center.
