GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. — A Gerrardstown man stabbed in the hand after breaking into a neighbor’s home Thursday night has been charged with one count of burglary, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Emory Nestor, 50, of 204 Reunion Corner Road, was in Eastern Regional Jail awaiting arraignment Thursday night, the release said.
Deputies were called to a home on the 200 block of Reunion Corner Road at 8:08 p.m. The resident told Cpl. W.D. Christian that he stabbed Nestor after Nestor had broken into his home and began to physically assault him, the release said.
Nestor was transported to City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va., for treatment, then was taken into custody.
