William Howard Stum, 93, of Hillsville, Va., left this world on April 19, 2011.
He was born April 2, 1918, in Hagerstown, Md., to the late Walter Raymond and Mabel Elizabeth Stouffer Stum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Anna Marie.
He is survived by his three sons, John Stum of Hillsville, Tom Stum and Bill Stum of Florida; one daughter, Becky Seibert of Florida; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
William was retired from Martin Marietta Aerospace and General Dynamics Corp. in Orlando, Fla. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial May 12, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Hagerstown, with graveside services at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown. Services will be officiated by the Rev. Collin Poston, pastor of St. Mary's.
