Edward Lester Perkins, 59, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Sunday, May 1, 2011, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.

Born Nov. 2, 1951, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Elmer Lester and Marjorie Madeline Smith Perkins.

He was a 1969 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

He was the owner of E. T. Auto Sales and E. T. Collectables.

He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Martinsburg.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy L. Perkins of Hedgesville, W.Va.; three brothers, David A. Perkins of Hagerstown, Kevin L. Perkins of Elkton, Va., and Anthony R. Perkins of Boonsboro, Md.; a godson, Brian J. Collins Jr.; a goddaughter, Ashlee Duke, and a special friend, Barry Duke.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas E. Perkins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor Thomas N. Boggess will officiate.

Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday  from 7 to 9 p.m.
