Webelo Scouts become members of Troop 62

  • Three Webelo II Scouts from Cub Scout Pack 22 recently became members of Boy Scout Troop 62 at Pack 22s annual Blue and Gold Banquet. Pictured in the front row are Travis Knapp, Alex Rodenburg and Sammy Morrison, new members of Boy Scout Troop 62. Cub Scout Pack 22 held its annual Blue and Gold Banquet Feb. 12 at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.  

Following dinner, the pack held its crossover ceremony for three Webelo II Scouts. Travis Knapp, Alex Rodenburg and Sammy Morrison were presented with the the Arrow of Light, the highest award in Cub Scouting.  

The Scouts crossed the bridge into Boy Scouts and were welcomed into Troop 62 by Scoutmaster Marty Brown and Senior Patrol Leader Colton Duvall.  

Troop 62 presented them with bolos to replace their Webelo neckerchiefs.  

Cub Scout Pack 22 is chartered by New Beginnings Community Church in Hagerstown and meets Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at New Beginnings Community Church.  

Boy Scout Troop 62 is chartered by the Chewsville Lions Club and meets Mondays at 7 p.m. at the Chewsville Community Center.
