Caroline Dorothy "Dot" Deibert, 87, of 119 E. Potomac St. in Williamsport, Md., died Friday, April 29, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md.

Born Jan. 26, 1924, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Arthur D. and Grace D. Semler Hoover.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Adrian "Tony" Deibert Jr., who died June 10, 2003.

She was a member of St. James Brethren Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Ann Bussard and husband, Steve, of Hagerstown; three sons, David Deibert of Williamsport, Mark Deibert and wife, Linda, of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Joseph Deibert and wife, Brenda, of Grand Junction, Tenn.; three sisters, Geraldine Nicholas of Irving, Texas, Mary Warrenfeltz and husband, Paul, and Rose Marie McDonald and husband, Tom, all of Hagerstown; one brother, George Hoover of Falling Waters; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia A. Daley Wolfe; and one brother, Arthur M. "Bub" Hoover.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. James Brethren Church, 17718 Lappans Road, St. James, Md. The Rev. Brian H. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Brethren Church.
