Ruiz, Cibula drive Warriors past Blazers

PREP BASEBALL

CLEAR SPRING — Ryan Ruiz hit a three-run homer and Brian Cibula drove in four runs for Boonsboro in the Warriors’ 13-9 MVAL Antietam victory over Clear Spring on Tuesday.

Justin Lewis had two hits and two RBIs for the Warriors (7-6, 5-4), who benefitted from 12 walks.

Dylan Stouffer had two hits, including a two-run homer, Brent Mentzer hit a three-run homer and Tyler Walling added a solo blast for the Blazers (4-7, 1-6).

Ty Benson had two hits and three RBIs to lead North Hagerstown to its fourth straight win.

Jake Bachtell, Alex Courtney and Matt Daley had two hits each for the Hubs (6-3), while Bachtell and Aaron Stoner drove in two runs each in the win.

Stoner struck out five batters and picked up the victory.

Brian Smith and Curtis Baker had two hits each for visiting Frederick.

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Chad Miller scored the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth on a two-out RBI single by Drew DeShong to lead Greencastle-Antrim past Gettysburg.

Miller and Devin Schaeffer had three hits each, Denver Cordell had two hits and a stolen base and Hunter Szaflarski had two hits for the Blue Devils (7-2).
