HCC event to focus on administrative professionals

Hagerstown Community College's Continuing Education and Community Services Division and the International Association of Administrative Professionals will offer a day of appreciation and learning for local administrative professionals.

The event will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Elliott Center on HCC's main campus.

Registration is at 8 a.m. followed by a continental breakfast. A complimentary lunch also will be offered.

A series of sessions and workshops will follow. They are:

  • 8:45 a.m. — "The Rapture of Being Unsinkable" with Lisa Ross, president of Pioneer Passion LLC.
  • 10:15 a.m. — "The Seven Secrets To Living An Empowered Life" with Jim Cannon, director of human resource development at Meritus Medical Center.
  • 12:30 p.m. — "Stress Relief" with Mary Anne Allan, an HCC adjunct instructor.
  • 1:45 p.m. — "Embracing the Reality of Change" with Julie Garver, a professional speaker and consultant.

The cost for the event is $79. The fee includes breakfast, lunch, six continuing education credits, handouts, a certificate of attendance and the opportunity to win several door prizes.
