HAGERSTOWN — Colonial Park, a neighborhood located just east of Dual Highway between Mount Aetna Road and Eastern Boulevard, is undergoing paving for at least the next two weeks.

Craig Paving, Inc., a Washington County contractor, is overseeing the project.

On Monday, crews are working on Colonial Drive. After that they will move to other streets in the neighborhood.

"We're doing patching and overlaying on all the streets in the area," says Richard Craig, an estimator for Craig Paving.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department is reporting that "No Parking" signs have been posted on the street since Saturday. They have had to tow two cars away because they were parked in the street and the owners could not be reached.

Craig says that after they finish working on Colonial Park, they will move to other neighborhoods in the county. He noted that the rain has slowed their process.

"We could have been close to being done here if it wasn't for the rain," he said. "But hopefully the rain will stop now that Easter is over."

Craig Paving is reporting that an entire list of their patching and overlay plans in Washington County for the year can be found on the Washington County website. Those interested can go to
