Jake William Kesecker, 83, of 1384 Salem Ave., Hagerstown, Md., went to be home with Jesus, Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center, near Hagerstown.

Born Saturday, Sept. 3, 1927, in Sleepy Creek, W.Va., he was the son of the late Robert S. Kesecker and Mary S. McJilton Kesecker.

He graduated in 1946 from Berkeley Springs (W.Va.) High School. He retired in 1987 from Mack Trucks. He was a member of Tri-State Fellowship, where he participated in the Adult Bible Fellowship.

He is survived by his son, J. William Kesecker of Hagerstown; sister-in-law, Elaine Perry Kesecker; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, D. Lorraine Titlow Kesecker; brothers, Joseph Ralph and wife, Mida, Albert Vernon and wife, Mildred, Robert Thurman and wife, Mary, and Raymond Leroy; and sisters, Mildred Faye and husband, Daniel Litton Sr., and Ruth Marie and husband, Donald Ewing Sr.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with Pastor Randy Buchman, Pastor J. William Kesecker and the Rev. Kent Kesecker officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.

Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
