Washington County Sheriff's Office reports incidents

The following incidents were reported Wednesday and Thursday by the Washington County Sheriff's Office:

  • Money was stolen in the 21400 block of Greenbriar Road.
  • A vehicle was vandalized in the 11200 block of Piper Lane.
  • An iPod Touch was stolen from the 16800 block of Longfellow Court.
  • A theft was reported on South Burhans Boulevard.
  • An iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 13500 block of Spring Hill Drive.

Martinsburg woman faces prostitution charge

A Martinsburg, W.Va., woman was charged with prostitution during an undercover operation Thursday in the 500 block of Winchester Avenue, the Martinsburg Police Department said.

Ashley Renee Sheffler, 19, of 53 Crown Court in Martinsburg, was charged with solicitation of prostitution and taken to Eastern Regional Jail, according to a police department press release.

Sheffler was being held Friday morning on a $5,000 cash bond, a jail official said.

Needmore man charged with receiving stolen skid loader

A Needmore, Pa., man has been charged with receiving stolen property in the form of a skid loader valued at $16,400 , Pennsylvania State Police said.

Joseph Adam Mellott, 37, of Needmore, was charged with buying a 2000 Bobcat Skid Steer Loader on an unspecified date from Jan. 15-22, according to a state police press release.

Police said the alleged incident occurred on Sam Road near Pa. 65 in Fulton County.

Accident reported in Greene Township

The following incident was reported Friday by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

At 5:58 a.m., a traffic accident at the intersection of Old Scotland and Black Gap roads in Greene Township.
