Darwin is a fawn-colored pit bull mix male who is a lovebug of a dog.
He is 1 1/2 years old and a solid 83 pounds of sweetness.
Considering the fact that he is a big dog, he is very timid of some things and needs to build up his confidence.
Darwin loves people, though. He loves to lean in, get petted and then use you as a seat cushion.
He is looking for someone to be his best friend.
Due to his timidness, we suggest calm or busy homes and children 12 and older.
Darwin and many other animals are available for adoption at The Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Animal visitation begins at 10 a.m. daily. Closed on Sunday.
