After knocking on doors and receiving no response, the males reportedly walk around and attempt to enter the homes, police said.

Occasionally the males have found someone at home, police said.

Police asked that residents report any suspicious behavior to the department immediately.

Residents can submit tips to police by calling 301-790-3700 or emailing crimetip@hagerstownpd.org.
