Martinsburg residents face drug charges

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Two Martinsburg residents are facing drug charges after city police pulled over the vehicle in which they were riding Wednesday night.

Stephan Terrell Jefferson, 35, of 110 Strine Ave., and Kimberly Denise Harrison, 29, of 244 N. Queen St., each were charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a felony, Martinsburg Police Department said in a news release.

Police pulled over a vehicle at 9:40 p.m. in the area of East Martin and Spring streets.

After making the stop, the officer detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, the release said. Upon further investigation, he discovered and seized about 2 pounds of marijuana in assorted packaging and  $630.27 in cash, police said.

Jefferson and Harrison were processed at the Martinsburg Police Department and later placed in the Eastern Regional Jail, where they are awaiting arraignment, the release said.
