The Williamsport Volunteer Fire and EMS will hold its annual Easter egg hunt Saturday in Byron Memorial Park, beginning at 10 a.m., for those 12 and younger.

There will be candy for all children and a chance to win a new bicycle. The event will be held rain or shine.

Sunrise service, celebration planned

A community Easter sunrise service will be held at the Town Museum, lower level of Springfield Farm Barn, at 6:30 a.m. Sunday. It is sponsored by the churches of the Williamsport Ministerium.

Following the service, the community is invited to a free Easter breakfast from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury St.

Easter in the Park will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Byron Memorial Park. The celebration is hosted by Rehoboth United Methodist Church, especially for those who do not attend a church. The community is invited.

In the event of rain, the celebration will move to Springfield Farm Barn. For more information, call 301-223-9554.

Community yard sale reset

The community yard sale to benefit Williamsport resident Kristy Danfelt was postponed due to rain and is rescheduled for Saturday, April 30, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Byron Memorial Park.

Spaces can still be reserved by calling Penny Fraker at 301-991-1250 or 717-643-0900. Cost per space is $25 and proceeds from space rentals will be donated to Kristy’s fund.

There will be a pancake breakfast in the Community Building from 6 to 10 a.m.

Entertainment will be by Dogfoot from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and Back Creek Valley Boys from noon to 3 p.m.

Birthday milestones

Happy birthday to Goldie Brown, who is 80 years old today. She is sharing birthday wishes with her friend, Wanda Whipp, whose birthday is also today. Happy birthday, ladies.
