Mary Maetta (Hornbaker) Miller, 80, of National Pike, Boonsboro, Md., went to be with Lord on Saturday April 16, 2011, surrounded by her family at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.

Born June 3, 1930, in Mercersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Henry Stanley Hornbaker and Martha Mae (Bural) Black.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph H. Imes, Sept. 19, 1968.

She retired from London Fog Manufacturing after 27 years of service.

She was a member of Greenbrier Baptist Church, Boonsboro.

She was a Sunday school teacher for 34 years for the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jonathan "Dutch" Lee Miller; five sons, Eugene F. Imes of Boonsboro, Joseph W. Imes and wife Lois, Edward L. Imes and wife Shirlee, and John W. Imes and wife Roxanne, all of Hagerstown, and Brian W. Imes of Boyce, Va.; one daughter, Dorothy "Pat" Boden and husband Ed, of Hagerstown; one brother, Ray Hornbaker, of Crestview, Fla.; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Martha Wiles; one brother, Henry S. Hornbaker; one grandson, Jason E. Imes; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Richards and Caleb Richards.

Services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., with the Rev. David Coblentz and the Rev. George Snyder officiating. Internment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
