Martinsburg man wounded in Charles Town bar

police seek shooter

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police were looking for an unidentified male who shot a Martinsburg man several times in the upper body early Sunday at a bar in Charles Town.

Travis Coon, 26, of Martinsburg, was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital and later flown to a Washington, D.C., area hospital after he was shot two or three times in the upper body, according to a state police press release.

Troopers said the shooting occurred at about 2:30 a.m. at the Tap House sports bar at 107 Keyes Ferry Road.

Coon’s condition was unavailable Monday afternoon.
