April 15, 2011

A juvenile has been charged with making terroristic threats after he said on the Internet that he was planning to bring an AK-47 to school and murder three students, the Martinsburg (W.Va.) Police Department said.

Police were told Thursday that the juvenile, whose name and age were not released, had made the posts on Facebook, a police department news release said.

Police didn't find any weapons after visiting the boy's home, the release said. The boy was charged on Friday.

The police department notified Berkeley County Public School officials of the incident for their review, the release said.
