Anna Helen (Rohrer) Hartman, 86, of Hagerstown, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

She was affectionately known as "Ike."

Born May 28, 1924, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Robert R. and Helen S. (Willet) Rohrer.

She was of the Lutheran faith. She will especially be remembered for her servant's heart and willingness to help family and friends. Anna enjoyed reading and putting puzzles together. She also loved flowers.

Ike worked as a farmer for many years and was also an adult caregiver.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth "Buck" R. Hartman and wife, Nancy, of Hagerstown; three granddaughters, Debbie Slate and husband, Bobby, Shari Hastings and husband, Tim, of Hagerstown, Julie Schroyer and husband, Duane, of Greencastle, Pa.; three brothers, Robert Willet Rohrer and Philip Henry Rohrer, both of Hagerstown, and Roy Franklin Rohrer of Lincoln, Neb.; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Rohrer; and two sisters, Kathryn Baumgardner and Mary S. Berger.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2011, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Jeff Ehko officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
