Patrick Michael Dwyer, 68, of Keedysville, Md., passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md.

Born on Oct. 13, 1942, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was the son of the late Martin John and Josephine (Petrivelli) Dwyer.

Pat was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga.

He retired in 1999 from Hughes Network Systems in Germantown, Md.

He was a member of the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro and the Amvets Post 10 in Hagerstown. Patrick was a past member of the Prop Busters and The Pegasus Airplane Clubs.

His passion was building and flying model airplanes.

He is survived by his wife, Kendra L. (Faulders) Dwyer of Keedysville; one son, Patrick M. Dwyer Jr. of Melbourne, Fla.; one daughter, Kelly Dwyer of Florida; six siblings, JoAnne D. and her husband, Edward  Northrup, Maureen M. and her husband, Thomas Paige, Mary T. and her husband, Tim Paige, Martin J. Dwyer and his wife, Vicki, Dennis B. Dwyer and his wife, Anette, and Joseph W. Dwyer and his wife, Terese, all of Syracuse. He is also survived by two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother, John T. Dwyer.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Md. The Rev. John J. Jicha will officiate. Burial will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the funeral home.
