Vishay Angstrohm group to meet for lunch April 21

Maugansville students honored

Maugansville Elementary School recognized students for being responsible at the third Golden Table of the year.

Students received a book, compliments of the PTA, a school related goodie bag, healthy treats, a certificate and a star to wear designating their accomplishment.  

The students recognized were:  

Kindergarten — Benjamin Arch, Grace Billman, Matthew Van-Houten, Alyssa Fisher, Liam Fisher, Veliciti Stone, Katie Green, Lydia Keefer, Gabriel Avila, Liam Ryan and Lexie Esquibel  

First grade — Brayshion Alexander, Jessica Munch, Charlie Krumpe, Victoria Reed, Katelyn Benoit, Morgan Haupt, Rebekah Yeagy, Darius Bamfo, Bradyn Mcleod and Lillian Lampton

Second grade — Keri Scallion, Rachel Steele, Shayla Morgan, Craig Clark, Kylie Grimsley, Connor Hosein, Brooke Upton, Nicky Noel, Gabe Esquibel and Devon Ellis

Third grade — Elmer Flores-Saravia, Afua Mireku Baabu, Shantell Terrelonge, Fiza Younus, Princess Fianko, Miranda DiNezza, Logan Pettner, Nicole Cardenas and Madalyn Allingham

Last Supper drama

On Sunday, the Maugansville Bible Brethren Church, at 17904 Binkley Ave. in Maugansville, will hold "The Living Last Supper Drama and Musical." The event will start at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

Yard and bake sale

Haven Lutheran Church, at 1035 Haven Road, Hagerstown, will hold its third annual community yard and bake sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit Holly Place and Habitat for Humanity.

The church is offering table space for the yard sale. A fee of $20 for table space will be donated to Holly Place and Habitat for Humanity. What you sell, you keep.

There will also be a bake sale and other food offerings along with hand-crafted items.
