MOMS Club hosting fundraisers for injured Franklin Fire Co. firefighter

All proceeds from events will benefit Jason Kuehler and his family to help with medical and other expenses

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The MOMS Club of Chambersburg West will be hosting two benefits for injured firefighter Jason Kuehler.

Kuehler, assistant chief of the Franklin Fire Co., was severely burned during a mobile home fire March 19. He is being treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center in Baltimore.

According to Kuehler's Facebook page, which has been updated by fellow firefighters when they visit him, he was scheduled to undergo surgery Monday. He's had several skin-grafting procedures.

All proceeds from the MOMS events will benefit Kuehler and his family to help with medical and other expenses during his recovery and rehabilitation, according to a news release.

A "10 percent Day" will be held at the Red Robin restaurant on Norland Avenue on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For each customer who brings in a flier for the fundraiser (available to print at, the restaurant will donate 10 percent of the bill (not including alcohol or tips) to the Kuehler family.

Both dine-in and carryout orders are included, the news release stated.

A spaghetti dinner will be held Sunday, May 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Franklin Fire Hall at 158 W. King St., Chambersburg. The event also will include a bake sale, silent auction and basket raffle.

Dine-in ticket prices are $10 for an adult, $5 for ages 3 to 12, and $25 for a family. Carryout orders are available for $10 per meal.
