The 2011 Williamsport High football team parent and player meeting will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
It is important for all varsity and junior varsity players and their parents to attend the meeting. Coach Longnecker plans to go over the summer program and parent involvement.
Spaghetti dinner planned
An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Van Lear Brethren in Christ Church, 10745 Van Lear Drive.
Tickets cost $6 for adults, $3 for those ages 3 to 12, and are free for those 2 and younger.
The meal includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs, salad, rolls and drink. Dessert will be available for a donation.
Carry-out will be available.

Potomac Garden Club news
The Potomac Garden Club will meet Tuesday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, starting at 12:30 p.m.
Members can participate in a workshop creating concrete trough containers for the garden. Special thanks to Sandy Hose and Connie Spong from Crossroads Garden Club, who will demonstrate and assist.
WHS choral group to perform 'Grease'
The Williamsport High School Choral Department invites the community to attend the spring musical, "Grease."
Performances are Thursday and Friday, April 28 and 29, at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, April 30, at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

Thanks from the food bank
The Williamsport Food Bank would like to express its thanks in regard to recent food drives. Thank you to the Leatherneck Motorcycle Club, which collected several hundred pounds of food and to Scout Troop 17 for collecting 180 bags of food.
