Mrs. Eileen F. Stull, 93, of Walkersville, Md., went to be with the Lord Friday, April 8, 2011, at her home. She was the wife Paul S. Stull Sr., her husband of 66 years who preceded her in death Sept. 13, 2003.

Born Sept. 10, 1917, in Burkittsville, Md., she was the third daughter of Aaron and Estie Guyton Rice.

In 1937, Eileen and Paul moved to the new farm house and they began farming and had a chick hatchery business in the 1940s.

They were known for raising produce and gardening for more than 60 years. Mrs. Stull resided in her home for 74 years, fulfilling the high calling of servant hood, being an example of serving others cheerfully. Her beautiful smile encouraged many who needed uplifting from the daily struggle. Her prayers were for others until her passing. Her love for singing and listening to old hymns remained with her a lifetime.

She is survived by her six children, Nancy Lee Rhoderick and husband, Arthur G., of Hagerstown, Marcelene Stull and husband, Paul A., of Walkersville, Gloria Feldser and husband, Norman, of Thurmont, Md., June Ivey and husband, Joe, of Walkersville, Robert "Bob" Stull of Phoenix, Ariz., and Paul S. Stull Jr. and wife, Susan, of Thurmont. Also survived by 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Duble of Thurmont; and a brother, Ernest Rice of Westminster, Md. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Eva Fogle, Faye Gearhart, Olive Duble, Erma Black and Emmert Rice.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday April 12, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the funeral home chapel. Her son, Paul S. Stull Jr., will officiate. Interment will follow in Faith United Church of Christ Cemetery, Frederick.
