Patricia Linne Humelsine, 71, of Henderson, Nev., and formerly of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, April 4, 2011, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital De Lima Campus, Henderson.

Born Nov. 28, 1939, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Julia M. Cooper Humelsine of Hagerstown and the late Emmert C. Humelsine.

She received her master's degree from Frostburg State Teachers College.

She taught in the Washington County schools, specializing in elementary education and special education for 27 years. She taught as CWO in 1964 with the U.S. Air Force in Wiesbaden, Germany.

She loved swimming, Washington Redskins football, cross stitching and scrapbooking.

She was a member of First Christian Church, Hagerstown.

She was a member of the following Washington County School organizations — WCRTA, MRSTA, WCTA and past president WCREPA.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sisters, Linda Kreilick and companion, Bill Butler, of Freehold, N.J., and Teresa Humelsine of Hagerstown; one nephew, Randy Bartles of Belmar, N.J.; and several family members.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Nancy Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
