Henry Stanley Showalter Jr., 75, of Ringgold, Ga., died on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at his residence.

Mr. Showalter was a member of Chattanooga First Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He was an avid golfer, a pilot and lived life joyously. He enjoyed having fun with his grandchildren. He had worked for over 35 years for the Review and Herald Publishing Association.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Showalter; daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie and Phillip Warner of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Sheri and Erik Bergman of Hagerstown; sons, Ted and Christy Showalter and Mike and Darlene Showalter of Huntsville, Ala.; and seven grandchildren, William and Madeline Showalter, Emily Warner, Robert and Victoria Kenyon, Isabella and Cristina Showalter, Erin Sperco and Amy and Mark Bergman.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 11, 2011, at noon in the chapel of the funeral home, with Pastors Ralph LaFave and Dale Tunnell officiating.  Burial will follow in Collegedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7454 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tenn.
