United Way launches survey to study community's views of charitable giving

April 07, 2011

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — United Way of the Eastern Panhandle is committed to serving the needs of our community by encouraging community members to give, advocate and volunteer.

In order to strengthen United Way's relationship with community members, it is asking for their feedback by completing a short survey.

Jan Callen, executive director of United Way of the Eastern Panhandle, said, "It is important for us to know what factors someone considers when making an important decision about contributing to a charitable organization."

The 20-question survey asks question about how and why people choose to give. United Way of the Eastern Panhandle is encouraging everyone to participate.

Survey participants will have the chance to enter a random drawing for a $50 ROCs Gift Card, donated by Centra Bank.

Survey responses are due by April 22. The results will be posted on United Way's website. The survey is available online at www.UWayEP.org.
