Heritage Academy auction, spring fest scheduled for April 16

Heritage Academy will hold its annual auction and spring fest Saturday, April 16.

Doors open at 9 a.m., and the auction will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Items to be auctioned include an American Girl doll, retired Longaberger baskets, baskets of scrapbooking and stamping supplies, Steelers merchandise, Ravens merchandise and gift certificates to various amusement parks, including Walt Disney World.

Other items available will be prints by local artists Ben Jones and Bob Bevard, various resort stays, Orioles tickets, and other items. Pictures of some of these items may be viewed on the school’s website at Click on “Auction News.”

Activities for children include Rosie’s Ranch, barrel rides, petting zoo, flower pot painting, Easter egg hunt and inflatable bounce.

To show appreciation for those involved in community service, the school has invited the Maryland National Guard, which is scheduled to bring a climbing wall and horizontal bungee board. The Maryland State Police K-9 Unit will be in attendance, and the Williamsport Fire Safety Mobile Unit will also be on hand. Food may be purchased throughout the day. Pulled pork, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, baked goods, homemade fries and other items will be available.

Heritage Academy is at 11215 Walnut Point west, off U.S. 40 west of Hagerstown.
